Reading....Canadian

Prisoner of TehranToday, while at the Clarenville Public Library, I decided to check out Prisoner of Tehran by Marina Nemat which is currently part of CBC's Canada Reads. This book of non-fiction has rave reviews.  Only five pages in and I suspect I'll be adding to those raves.  I think I will try and read all of the Canada Reads contenders.

While at the library, I was thrilled to learn that Patrick DeWitt's The Sisters Brothers is available for downloading.  I had thought it was too new to be available electronically.  While not part of Canada Reads, it has won and been nominated for so many awards I figure I must put it on my list.

I enjoy reading and supporting Canadian literature - there's so much good stuff out there!  And thanks to our public library system, it's readily accessible.
